A SPECIAL WELCOME

TO OUR NEW DIRECTOR OF MISSIONS

Rev. Sam Taylor and his wife, Deanne

It is with GREAT JOY and EXCITEMENT that the messengers of the Greater Boston Baptist Association voted Rev. Sam Taylor as the next Director of Missions.  68 messengers gathered last night to consider the Director of Missions Search Committee’s recommendation of Rev. Sam Taylor. Rev. Taylor and his wife, Deanne, came and shared their call and desire to serve with the churches of this very diverse and unique urban association.  Taylor also shared a brief statement that focused on his love for Jesus, love for Pastors and love for the Lost.  With some very thoughtful questions and lively discussion, the messengers voted to extend a call to the Taylors.  He will start on July 1st.

Let us pray for the Taylors as they make the transition to our Association and as they wind down their ministry in Nashua, New Hampshire.  Since Rev. Taylor continues to serve as Senior Pastor of Nashua Baptist Church, Nashua, New Hampshire, there will be some transition for that congregation as well. Let us pray for their next steps.

A special thanks to the Director of Missions Search Committee (Gideon Lee, Paul Biswas, Bob Beauchamp, Lionel Flores, Diana Strother, Timothy Rhee, Sylvia Selim, and Donald Moore) for their service in this process.  You can read their recommendation of Rev. Sam Taylor here

The Administrative Leadership Team (Eno Mondesir, Larry Green, Dick May, Paul Biswas, Sinotte Ibrahim, Nick Zaccardi, Lewis Floyd, Dashawn Bristol, Sandy Coelho) continues to be committed to serving the needs of our Association in the transition and is looking forward to work with Rev. Taylor as they continue to see the Greater Boston Baptist Association grow and flourish.

Be Blessed,
Sandy Coelho, Interim, Director of Missions
